Description:

Introduction
Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management approach that started in Japan in the 1950s and later became popular in Western countries. It focuses on improving quality in every area of an organization. TQM with reference to Tech Mahindra highlights how quality practices help organizations meet customer needs by delivering products and services right the first time, with minimum errors and waste. TQM is not limited to product quality; it also involves managing people and work processes effectively. With strong leadership, TQM supports continuous improvement and a quality-driven culture. Although many companies face challenges in implementation, successful organizations show that TQM improves quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Objectives of the Study
  • To understand the level of Total Quality Management (TQM) practiced in the organization.
  • To study the level of employee commitment toward their work.
  • To identify the factors that influence employee commitment.
  • To understand the role of a quality-focused culture in the organization.
  • To analyze the implementation of TQM at Tech Mahindra.
  • To examine how Human Resource Management supports and implements TQM successfully.
Research Design
Research design is the plan used to collect and analyze data. This study uses descriptive research to clearly understand and present the existing practices followed in the organization. Descriptive research mainly uses surveys and fact-finding methods. The study follows an ex post facto approach, where the researcher does not control the variables. The research uses statistical methods to ensure accuracy and objectivity. Simple tools like averages and percentages help in easy analysis. The study collects data from two sources:
Primary Data:
The researcher collects fresh and original data directly from people who use the organization’s products or services. This data directly supports the objectives of the study.
Secondary Data:
The researcher collects secondary data from books, reports, records, and other published or unpublished sources that already contain processed information.
