INTRODUCTION

Stress management refers to the methods and techniques used to control and reduce stress at the workplace and in daily life. Techniques for reducing stress management include time management, relaxation exercises, meditation, counselling, and employee support programs. Employees face pressure due to workload, deadlines, job insecurity, and responsibilities. If stress is not managed properly, it affects physical health, mental well-being, and work performance. It may also lead to absenteeism, low productivity, and job dissatisfaction.

In human resource management, stress management plays an important role in maintaining employee efficiency and motivation. Organizations introduce training programs, counselling sessions, and self-instructional modules to help employees understand and manage stress. These programs improve awareness, confidence, and emotional balance.

Both private and public sector employees experience stress in different ways. A supportive work environment, proper communication, and employee participation help reduce stress levels. When employees feel relaxed and valued, they perform better and contribute positively to organizational goals. Stress management helps create a healthy workplace and supports overall organizational growth.
