Description:

Introduction
This project studies the increasing role of cloud-based data analytics in helping hospitals improve their daily operations, patient engagement, and overall patient management systems.  Cloud computing means using the Internet to store, manage, and process data instead of using a personal computer or local server. The Internet is often shown as a “cloud,” which is why this method of online computing is called cloud computing. With cloud computing, users can access databases, software, and services from anywhere and at any time, as long as they have an Internet connection. There is no need for users to buy, manage, or maintain physical hardware, because all technical operations are handled by the cloud service provider. Today, cloud technology plays a major role in data analytics in healthcare services, helping hospitals manage large volumes of medical and operational data efficiently.
Objectives of the Study
  • To study the need for cloud-based analytics in hospitals.
  • To examine the usage of cloud analytics across hospital departments.
  • To analyze the role of cloud analytics in improving decision-making.
  • To identify challenges in implementing cloud analytics in hospitals.
  • To evaluate the impact of cloud analytics on hospital efficiency and service quality.
Research Design

The research design provides a structured plan that guides data collection and analysis. This study adopts a descriptive research design to present a clear picture of how hospitals use cloud-based data analytics. The researcher uses descriptive research to understand existing practices, benefits, and challenges. The study follows an ex post facto approach, where the researcher does not control the variables but observes them in their natural setting. The researcher applies simple statistical tools such as percentages and averages to ensure objective and accurate analysis related to data analytics in healthcare services.

Mode of Data Collection

The researcher collected primary data through a structured questionnaire to examine the relationship between cloud-based data analytics and hospital operations.

Population and Sample Size

The study included hospital owners, administrators, and key decision-makers as the target population. The researcher used purposive sampling to select 50 respondents for the study.

Data Collection Methods

The researcher used a questionnaire consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions. The questionnaire covered general hospital information and objective-based questions related to cloud analytics.

Data Analysis Techniques

The researcher analyzed the data using descriptive statistical methods and presented the results through pie charts and bar charts to identify patterns and trends.
